Families for Harpswell Community Scholarship
Deadline for Application: April 1
Who is eligible to apply?
Any graduating senior who resides in Harpswell and is
seeking a higher education.
Scholarship amount: Four $1,000 scholarships.
Amounts change annually.
How are the scholarships awarded?
Decisions are made by the Fishing Families for
Harpswell Board and Members. Essay requirement is of
most importance. Of secondary importance are such
factors as community involvement, letters of
recommendation, G.P.A., SAT scores, and class rank.
Financial need is not a criteria. FFFH reserves the
right to not award a scholarship if no suitable
applications are received. Funds are awarded only
after receipt of letter of acceptance to educational
institution of applicantās choice. Funds are paid
directly to the recipient.
Is the scholarship renewable?
Yes. Applicants may reapply.
